Cowles Mountain

Cowles Mountain / 1463' / San Diego, CA

This has to be the most well-known hike in San Diego. It boasts as being the highest peak, topping at 1,593 feet. This actually is one of my least favorite hikes in my neck of the woods. It's crowded, and the switchbacks at the top are monotonous. That being said I have done this trek more times than I can count, but it's not my first choice. My sister and I reached this peak at approximately 9:15am, and it took us around an hour.
