Cathedral Rock

Cathedral Rock / 608' / Sedona, AZ

This was the first hike my husband and I did in Sedona. The instructions were not super clear at first, so it was a bit of a wild goose chase until we figured out the trail is marked with these chicken wire cylinders filled with rock (see pic below). This is a really fun, short hike for those that enjoy hiking but are new to the scrambling/scaling thing. There was one really cool rock face you have to go up that was not difficult but was exciting for the newbie rock climber that I am. Total distance out and back is just over one mile so this is a very doable hike but there are some steep parts. The view at the end though is so worth it. This is breath-taking hike.

Total Distance: 1.2 miles
